- Résumé en allemand : Dieser Artikel stellt die bulgarischen Bibliotheken durch ihre Geschichte hindurch, die laufende europäische Harmonisierung und die heutigen Herausforderungen, mit denen sie konfrontiert sind in Verbindung mit ihrem Modernisierungsprozess vor. Er beschreibt so einige der zahlreichen lokalen, regionalen und nationalen Aktionen, insbesondere jene von der Vereinigung der Bibliotheks- und Informationsspezialisten organisierten, deren Wichtigkeit er betont. Ein Schaukasten ist der Nationalbibliothek Sankt Kyrill und Method gewidmet.
- Résumé en anglais : This article presents Bulgarian libraries through their history, the European harmonisation under way and the challenges they face today, in relation to their modernisation. It describes some of the many local, regional and national initiatives, particularly those of the association of library and information professionals (ULISO), the importance of which is emphasised. There is also a separate text on the SS Cyril and Methodius National Library.
- Résumé en espagnol : Este artículo presenta las bibliotecas búlgaras a través de su historia, la armonización europea en curso y los retos contemporáneos a los cuales éstas se han confrontado, en lazo con su proceso de modernización. El autor expone de esta manera algunas de la numerosas acciones locales, regionales y nacionales, en particular aquellas llevadas a cabo por la Asociación de los profesionales de la información y de las bibliotecas (notablemente la Semana nacional de las bibliotecas), de la cual él subraya la importancia. Se consagra un recuadro a la Biblioteca nacional San Cirilo y Método.
- Résumé : Cet article présente les bibliothèques bulgares à travers leur histoire, l’harmonisation européenne en cours et les défis contemporains auxquels elles sont confrontées, en lien avec leur processus de modernisation. Il expose ainsi quelques-unes des nombreuses actions locales, régionales et nationales, en particulier celles menées par l’Association des professionnels de l’information et des bibliothèques , dont il souligne l’importance. Un encadré est consacré à la Bibliothèque nationale Saints-Cyrille-et-Méthode.
