Orange, June 1995. The elections were won by a mayor belonging to the National Front, Jacques Bompard. From the first budget freeze to subsequent buying prescriptions, the author of this article recounts the chronicle of an unprecedented seizing of power by those elected, who were not unaware of the stakes attached to the development of libraries, as places of personal and cultural development to shape the mind. Is their goal the necessary pluralism of collections or is it their will to use public amenities as instruments of propaganda ?
Résumé :
Orange, juin 1995.
