- Résumé en allemand : Nach den fünf Jahrhunderten ihrer Entwicklung endet heute die Buchordnung. Der Kodex, als stabiler, zuverlässiger und erzeugbarer Behälter betrachtet, hat seine zentrale Stellung verloren und kann die Gestaltung und Verbreitung eines zu verteilenden Wissens nicht mehr leiten auf der Grenze zwischen Innerstem und öffentlichem Raum. Im Gegenteil gewinnt die sogenannte Textualität eine weitere Bedeutung, indem sie sich ins digitale continuum einschreibt und über neue Fähigkeiten verfügt. Das Lesen selbst, das seinen physischen Träger sowie die Räume seiner Sozialisierung verlassen hat, wirkt jetzt als roter Faden einer neuen politischen Wirtschaft wegen der zweifelhaften Begrenzung des öffentlichen Raums.
- Résumé en anglais : After a five centuries'boom, the era of the book comes to an end. The codex, that complete, reliable and repeatable object, no longer enjoys its key position : that of an interface between the private and the public fields regulating the formation and circulation of distributive knowledge. On the other hand, rooted in the digital continuum and ceaselessly feeding on new devices, « textuality » spreads more and more. Having broken away from its traditional medium and socializing areas, the very action of reading has become the reference to a new way of managing sense (from economical, political and philosophical points of view). It is necessary to find a new definition of a public field to balance the current tendency to scatter and split things up.
- Résumé : Après cinq siècles d'expansion, l'ordre du Livre s'achève. Le codex, cette capsule stable, fiable et réitérable, perd sa position centrale. Il ne régule plus la constitution et la circulation d'un savoir partageable, à l'interface du for intérieur et de l'espace public. Par contre, en s'inscrivant dans le continuum numérique, la textualité prolifère de plus belle et sÕenrichit de nouvelles modalités. Désancré de son support physique et de ses lieux de socialisation, l'acte même de lire devient le fil rouge d'une nouvelle économie-politique au sens où la définition de l'espace public fait problème.
