Innerhalb der vielen Fragen, die sich heute stellen, entwickelt der Autor dieses Artikels bestimmte Punkte: Organisation und Vielfalt der Leseorte für Kinder und Jugendliche, Empfang des Publikums, gewisse Aspekte des Bestandsaufbaus (Phonogramme, fremdsprachige Literatur...), die Grundausbildung des Personals inexistent oder fast, seit der Abschaffung des Diploms « CAFB » (Certificat d'aptitude aux fonctions de bibliothécaire), die Aufgabenbestimmung und die Besonderheit des Berufsfeldes in Bezug zu den anderen Kollegen, die rund ums Jugendbuch arbeiten.
- Résumé en anglais : Librarians working in children's sections of libraries are raising questions about their future and that of their libraries. Among the range of questions posed currently, the author of this article has chosen to develop certain points: the organization and the diversity of reading locations for the young, the reception of the public, certain aspects of the constitution of collections (recordings, foreign language books, etc.), initial training of personnel almost non-existant since the disappearance of the CAFB (Certificat d'aptitude aux fonctions de bibliothécaire), the definition of the functions and the specifics of the field with regard to other professionals working with books or children.
- Résumé : Les bibliothécaires de jeunesse s'interrogent quant à leur avenir et à celui de leurs bibliothèques. Parmi l'ensemble des questions qui se posent aujourd'hui, l'auteur de cet article a choisi de développer certains points : l'organisation et la diversité des lieux de lecture pour la jeunesse, l'accueil des publics, certains aspects de la constitution des collections (phonogrammes, livres en langues étrangères...), la formation initiale des personnels inexistante ou presque depuis la disparition du CAFB (Certificat d'aptitude aux fonctions de bibliothécaire), la définition des fonctions et la spécificité du métier par rapport aux autres professionnels du livre et de l'enfance.
