Constitution de la collection dans la période allemande (1871-1918)

- Résumé en allemand : Nach dem Brand der Bibliothek von Strassburg während der Belagerung von 1870 hat das deutsche Kaiserreich im anektierten Elsass-Lothringen eine neue Bibliothek für die Universität Strassburg und das Land Elsass-Lothringen gegründet. Diese Bibliothek konnte bald, als Nutzniesser vieler Schenkungen und eines reichen Budgets, eine so bedeutende Sammlung wiedererstellen, dass sie die dritte deutsche Sammlung nach Berlin und München wurde. Basierend auf einer systematischen, enzyklopädischen Klassifikation, kann sie dem Forschern das Wesentliche der Publikationen der Vergangenheit und fast die gesamte Gegenwartsliteratur, wie auch ausserordentliche Spezialgebiete zur Verfügung stellen.
- Résumé en anglais : After the fire in the Strasburg library during the siege of 1870, the German Empire created in annexed Alsace-Lorraine a new library destined for the University of Strasburg and for the Land Elsass-Lothringen. Benefitting from a huge amount of donations and a substantial budget, this library had recreated a collection so important that it became the third German collection after Berlin and Munich. Built on the basis of a systematic encyclopedic classification, it is able to offer to researchers essential older publications and almost all of the current literature as well as some outstanding specialised material.
- Résumé en espagnol : Después del incendio de la biblioteca de estrasburgo durante el sitio de 1870, el Imperio alemán creó en Alsacia-Lorena anexada una nueva biblioteca destinada a la universidad de Estrasburgo y en el Land Elsass-Lothringen. Beneficiándose de un vasto movimiento de donaciones y de un presupuesto consecuente, esta biblioteca había reconstituido una coleccón tan importante que se convirtió en la tercera colección alemana tras la de Berlín y Munich. Construida sobre la base de una clasificación sistemática enciclopédica, ésta logró ofrecer a los invetigadores lo esencial de las publicaciones retrospectivas y la casi totalidad de la literatura corriente así como excepcionales fondos especializados.
- Résumé : Après l'incendie de la bibliothèque de Strasbourg lors du siège de 1870, l'Empire allemand a créé dans l'Alsace-Lorraine annexée une nouvelle bibliothèque destinée à l'université de Strasbourg et au Land Elsass-Lothringen. Bénéficiant d'un vaste mouvement de dons et d'un budget conséquent, cette bibliothèque avait reconstitué une collection si importante qu'elle devint la troisième collection allemande après Berlin et Munich. Construite sur la base d'une classification systématique encyclopédique, elle réussit à offrir aux chercheurs l'essentiel des publications rétrospectives et la quasi-totalité de la littérature courante ainsi que d'exceptionnels fonds spécialisés.
