- Résumé en allemand : Bei ihren Informationsrecherchen verfolgen Wissenschaftler oft unterschiedliche und manchmal widersprüchliche Methoden. Wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken müssen sich auf diese Praktiken einstellen und sehr spezifischen Anforderungen entsprechen. Die wissenschaftliche Mediathek des Pasteur-Instituts ist für eine Gemeinschaft von 1330 Wissenschaftlern da. Ihre Dienstleistungen haben sich erheblich ausgedehnt, um sich den Bedürfnissen der Wissenschaftler anzupassen. Sie bauen in erster Linie auf dem Webserver und leistungsfähigen Suchwerkzeugen auf. Mit der online-Dokumentation haben sich die Methoden rasch entwickelt und die Forderung nach Schnelligkeit, Vollständigkeit und Autonomie im Informationszugang wachgerufen. Heute ist die Mediathek mit einer vielfältigen Mission konfrontiert mit dem Vorteil, dass sie die Interaktion mit den Forschern viel mehr als früher begünstigt
- Résumé en anglais : In his search for information, the researcher has to follow a diverse and sometimes contradictory procedure. Scientific libraries have to adapt to these practices and to respond to very specific needs. The scientific multimedia library of the Pasteur Institute serves a community of 1,330 researchers. Its services have considerably increased in order to respond to the demands of the scientists. They connect mainly to the web server and advanced tools of information retrieval. Online information has very quickly brought about change in practices and sparked off a demand for speed, comprehensiveness and autonomy in access to information. The multimedia library today finds itself in the forefront of a multiple mission which has the advantage of encouraging dealings with scientists more than ever before.
- Résumé en espagnol : En la busqueda de información, el investigador tiene un enfoque diverso y a veces contradictorio. Las bibliotecas científicas deben adaptarse a estas prácticas y responder a necesidades específicas. La mediateca científica del Instituto Pasteur sirve a una comunidad de 1 330 investigadores. Sus servicios se han ampliado considerablemente para responder a la demanda de los científicos. Estos servicios se articulan principalmente alrededor del servidor web y de herramientas avanzadas de busqueda de información. La documentación en línea ha hecho evolucionar muy rápidamente las prácticas y despertado una exigencia de rapidez, de exhaustividad y de autonomía en el acceso a la información. La mediateca se encuentra hoy en día ante una misión multiple que tiene la ventaja de favorecer más que precedentemente los intercambios con los científicos.

Les bibliothèques scientifiques doivent s'adapter à ces pratiques et répondre à des besoins très spécifiques. La médiathèque scientifique de l'Institut Pasteur sert une communauté de 1 330 chercheurs. Ses services se sont considérablement élargis pour répondre à la demande des scientifiques. Ils s'articulent principalement autour du serveur web et d'outils avancés de recherche d'information. La documentation en ligne a très vite fait évoluer les pratiques et réveillé une exigence de rapidité, d'exhaustivité et d'autonomie dans l'accès à l'information. La médiathèque se trouve aujourd'hui devant des missions multiples qui ont l'avantage de favoriser plus qu'auparavant les échanges avec les scientifiques.
